Continue free The parent’s words Daniel gets worried when the bedroom light goes off and finds it hard to settle. Our routine is a bath, two stories in bed with Mr Pellow, his cream pillow, and the big light off at 7.30. The landing light stays on and his door stays open a hand's width. I check in at eight whether he is asleep or awake. Our boiler sometimes makes a familiar clunk; we have listened to it together. If he needs me before eight he can call, and I will come. There is no rule about only calling once. Help us describe this bedtime without promising that he will fall asleep.
